“Do you cover my area?” is a question we get a lot, because the Franschhoek Valley and the wider Winelands are spread out — from the village itself down the R45 to Paarl and across to Stellenbosch. The short answer is yes. Here’s exactly where we install, and why a local installer who knows the Valley’s terrain and weather makes a real difference to your DSTV.
Franschhoek itself — the village, the surrounding estates and the guest farms up the valley — is our home turf. Many of these properties are older, with stone or face-brick walls and strict expectations about how a dish is sited, so a clean, discreet install matters as much as a strong signal. See our dedicated DSTV installation in Franschhoek page. It’s also where the full range applies — from a single-room new installation to commercial setups for the hospitality trade.
Down towards Groot Drakenstein, properties are often larger and more spread out, with dishes needing careful line-of-sight around trees and terrain. It’s classic communal and multi-point territory for estates and farms.
Over the Franschhoek Pass and along the valley, Paarl is a busy part of our coverage — a mix of suburban homes, complexes and businesses. Full new installs, decoder setups and repairs all apply here.
Stellenbosch and its surrounds — town, student housing, estates and the wine farms — round out the western side of our coverage. Multi-room and communal work is common given the number of complexes and shared properties.
To the north, Wellington completes the picture. Whether it’s a home install, a relocation after a move, or a signal repair, we cover it.
The Winelands has its own quirks. Afternoon south-easters and sudden mountain storms put real stress on a dish, so alignment has to be done to peak signal, not “just working” — something we cover in our post on why DSTV signal drops in the Winelands. Valley terrain and mature trees make line-of-sight trickier than on the open Cape Flats. And older heritage properties need a careful hand. A local installer who works these roads every week simply gets it right faster. For the full coverage map, see our service areas page.
If you’re anywhere in or around the Franschhoek Valley and don’t see your exact spot listed, ask — we almost certainly cover it. Read up on what an install costs first, then request a free quote or call 079 754 5527.

A TV aerial and satellite dish are not interchangeable antennas. They receive different broadcasts, point in different ways and connect to different equipment. Choosing correctly starts with the channels or platform you want, not with whichever bracket is already on the roof.
