TV Wall Mounting & Cable Management in Franschhoek

Secure TV wall mounting with hidden cabling for a clean entertainment setup: brackets for every screen size 32"–85", colour-matched trunking that hides the HDMI, power and DSTV cables, and proper viewing-height positioning so the picture sits where your couch sees it best.

TV Wall Mounting & Cable Management

A flat-screen TV looks far better mounted to the wall than balanced on a unit, and the cables look far better hidden in trunking than dangling down from the corner. We mount TVs, hide cables and tidy entire entertainment setups across Franschhoek, Stellenbosch, Paarl and the Boland.

What's included in a wall-mount install

A complete TV wall-mount includes choosing the correct bracket for your TV's size and weight, fixing it to the wall with the right anchors for your wall type (brick, plasterboard, concrete or fibrecement), mounting the TV onto the bracket, hiding the HDMI, power and DSTV cables in white or colour-matched trunking, connecting through to your decoder and any sound bar, and testing every input.

We carry brackets for every common screen size from 32" to 85" and a range of fixed, tilting and full-motion options. If you don't have a bracket yet, we can supply one as part of the quote. Pair this with our new DSTV installation or decoder setup to get the dish, decoder and TV done in one visit.

Getting the cables right

Cable management is what separates a tidy install from a messy one. Wherever possible we run cables inside the wall through a dedicated cable channel. Where that's not practical, we use surface trunking that matches your wall colour: usually white, but we have other options. We never leave cables dangling. HDMI cables are sized correctly for the run, power cables are routed to a clean outlet, and the DSTV cable is terminated at a wall plate.

Position matters, and so does viewing height

One of the most common mistakes with TV wall-mounting is mounting the TV too high, usually because the homeowner thought it would 'look impressive' over a fireplace. The truth is the centre of the screen should be roughly at eye level when you're sitting on your couch, which is far lower than most people instinctively choose. We'll quickly check sight-lines from your seating positions before we drill any holes.

2026 price guide: TV wall mounting in South Africa

Every quote depends on your wall type, screen size and how much cable needs to disappear, so treat the numbers below as a starting point rather than a fixed price. We'll confirm the exact figure once we've seen the wall.

JobTypical 2026 rangeNotes
Fixed bracket install (up to 55")R550 – R900Straightforward wall, TV flush against the surface
Tilting bracket installR700 – R1,200Useful over a fireplace where the angle needs adjusting
Full-motion bracket install (up to 65"+)R1,200 – R2,500Larger screens or awkward corners can run closer to R3,000
Cable concealment add-onR400 – R900In-wall channel where the wall allows, or colour-matched trunking
Bracket hardware only (fixed / tilt / full-motion)R150–R500 / R200–R800 / R399–R1,500+If you'd rather supply your own bracket, we'll still fit it

Which bracket type is right for your TV

A fixed bracket holds the TV flat against the wall and is the neatest, cheapest option if you're always watching from roughly the same spot. A tilting bracket adds a few degrees of downward angle, which helps when the TV has to sit higher than ideal: over a fireplace, for instance. A full-motion bracket swings out and turns, so the screen can be angled toward the couch, the kitchen counter or wherever the room is being used from that day. It costs more and needs a slightly stronger wall fixing, but it's worth it in open-plan spaces.

Wall mounting plus a DSTV install, in one visit

If you're mounting a new TV and setting up DSTV at the same time, book them together. We'll mount the bracket, run the DSTV cable through the same trunking or wall channel as the HDMI and power leads, and get the decoder installed and tuned before we leave: one call-out instead of two, and one tidy cable run instead of a patchwork.

A few more questions we get asked

How much does TV wall mounting cost in 2026?

Most single-TV installs land between R550 and R2,500 depending on the bracket type and how much cable concealment is involved, see the price guide above for a breakdown.

What's the real difference between a fixed and a full-motion bracket?

A fixed bracket keeps the screen flat and close to the wall. A full-motion bracket lets you pull it out and swivel it, which matters most in open-plan rooms with more than one seating area.

Do I need to buy the bracket myself, or do you supply it?

Either works. We can supply the right bracket for your TV as part of the quote, or fit a bracket you've already bought.

Can I get wall mounting and a DSTV install done for one price?

Yes: mention both when you book and we'll quote the combined job, which usually works out cheaper than two separate call-outs.
