Who we install commercial DSTV for
The most common commercial customers in the Winelands are guesthouses and B&Bs (one decoder per room, or a central system with in-room TVs), restaurants and bars (multiple TVs around the venue all showing the same big match), wine estate tasting rooms and lodges (one or two screens for guest waiting areas), doctors' rooms and waiting areas (a single quiet decoder for visitor entertainment), and offices (reception or boardroom screens). Each has a different hardware mix — we walk the venue with you and quote the cleanest setup for the use case.
If you're a multi-unit complex with a shared dish needed across many apartments, see our communal DSTV installation service instead. For Extra View across just 2-3 TVs in a small business or family home, our XtraView setup is usually a better fit.
What's included in a commercial install
A commercial DSTV install typically includes: commercial-grade dish + LNB sized for the number of decoders you need; signal distribution via amplifier or splitter to multiple TV points around the venue; commercial decoders licensed to MultiChoice's commercial subscription rates (so you're legal to display in a public space); cabling and TV points run through trunking or in-ceiling channels so the venue stays presentable; HDMI or AV connections to each TV with the correct cable runs; and full signal testing + channel scan on every screen before sign-off.
For a wine farm tasting room or a restaurant with multiple TVs, we usually recommend one commercial decoder per zone (so different rooms can show different content) plus distribution amplifiers to keep the picture crisp across all the TV points.
Maintenance, upgrades and quick callouts
Commercial DSTV systems get knocked around — staff change cables, kids move chairs into the wrong corner, storms shift dishes, decoders need software updates. We offer maintenance support for venues that need someone on call when the rugby Saturday goes wrong. Same-day call-outs across the Winelands (subject to availability), neat replacements of failing kit, and decoder firmware updates when MultiChoice rolls them out.
